Great experience! We were looking for a sister for our kitten and ended up adopting two! Replies were always prompt and professional, and I felt Darlene truly cared about us finding the right kitten. We will be forever grateful to this rescue for making our kitty family complete

Takes them 2-3 days to respond to emails. I was inquiring about a cat, and after two emails over one week, they told me that the foster's friend was interested in the cat as well and that they are a better fit for the cat (which is a fair point). However, I definitely got the feeling that they were dragging out email responses so that said foster's friend could be first in line to adopt the cat. Didn't really appreciate the lack of transparency and nepotism. They might be a great rescue- I have no idea. But in my experience, good rescue organizations respond to emails quickly in order to expedite adoptions.

Contacted three times, told the cat was available. They just stopped responding. Absolutely crushed.

ACR is a non-profit volunteer organization run by a small group of dedicated animal welfare advocates who rescue and provide homes for as many abandoned and vulnerable creatures in need of care and shelter as possible. My family has had the pleasure of fostering 40 kittens/cats for this wonderful organization over the last few years. We have fostered animals for other rescues in the area but are most impressed with the level of veterinary services ACR provides for animals in their care. Adopting an animal from a rescue is different than purchasing an animal from a breeder. It's important to do your research and know the difference. ACR considers what is in the best interest of the animal first and foremost. ACR aims to ensure that animals are matched to the best adoptive home possible by conducting a behavioural analysis of each pet to ensure that they will be the right fit for the animal and for your family. It has been a pleasure to work with caring ACR volunteers, to meet, and to receive pet updates from the wonderful families who have adopted our fosters over the years. Note: This is not a for-profit business or 24-7 organization. Immediate responses can not be guaranteed. For emergency services, contact your municipality's Animal Services department.

Most supportive cat rescue in Hamilton. Thank you for saving so many cats and supporting your foster homes in the process.
