We have been with Cedarwood for about 10 years. Orson and Frank are smart, compassionate people who stand by us even when their suppliers don't. They have helped us make the change to an energy efficient water boiler and make sure we have the heat and hot water we need. Orson has gone above and beyond the call of duty for us. We have just had this company do our furnace cleaning again this year. We have used this company for several years and have always been happy with their work. Their technicians have always been courteous and pleasant when attending to do their job.
The serviceman was to come at 12:30 pm. I received a phone call asking permission to come earlier. Eric was polite, accommodating and finished in a timely fashion. I could not have asked for better service.
I did not have a good experience with Cedarwood. I called as the spacepak, they installed, was not working. They knew it was a spacepak and the issues as I outlined them to them. I called and booked a time and had to work from home as the window was large, which is fine. They called me 1.5 hrs before to say that the tech assigned was refusing to go into the attic as it's hot out. They did not offer to send another tech, or another option. They knew I had a spacepak in the attic, and knew the weather this week... This is super disappointing as the lack of care and finding a alternative to fixing the issue. It was a simple - sorry we can't come due to the heat in the attic... NOT a customer focused approach at all. UPDATE: I now see the company has responded. The worst about the response is that they are not telling the truth. Yes - was I upset - 100% I was. #1 they never provided an alternative day - or even tried to serve that up #2 They knew how hot it was going to be that day and didn't take that into account when booking the appointment. I completely understand the temperature challenges and take no issue with that. I take issue with the lack of for-thought and now lying to protect their name.
