I was having some issues with my bike this Spring, and knowing Donald at Platinum from some work in the past, I reached out. The last couple days he went above and beyond for me. I called in and explained to him the issue in detail - he encouraged me to try out a few things on my own that were outside of my experience or even comfort lever (I'm no mechanic, not by a long stretch.) We spoke a second time and again without hesitation he gave me some tips on a potential fix. Instead of simply saying \bring it in\, (which I was ready to do and would have gladly paid for his services) he again encouraged me to try out a few things based on the explanation of my issue. Long story short - new ignition coils and I'm back on the road. Donald did this on his on own time when I was ready to bring in my bike and pay for the work. He told me exactly what to do to fix it and after a day working in my garage, my bike is up and running. This saved me a few trips into his shop (2.5 hours away) and a bunch of money. This is far beyond the service I've ever gotten anywhere else. In an industry still pretty dominated by the stereotypical old jerk motorcycle mechanic who is too cool to be nice and doesn't have time for newbies, Donald went out of his way to help me out. I recommend Platinum to everyone!!
