I applied for a 1 bedroom modified unit because i am in a wheelchair.I submitted my application to The registry in June 2014.In October 2016,i went in to the office to speak to them. The lady was so nice and sweet and asked me a few questions regarding my file.2 days later got an offer for a modified unit.Waited on the list for about just over 2 years. If you have medical conditions, get your doctor to write them notes to put in your file.

This is BS, as I went and look at the apartment at 1971 St Laurent Boulevard. My daughter came with me. The person at the desk, nice lady, fillied out the paperwork for me. I told her I have to take it no matter what. I gave her two references. She told me she will mailed the paperwork that same afternoon. I haven't heard nothing back... That is until September... I did called Rihda, as I was worried sick, I discussed with him that I never had a call back from no one. He then told me I can ask for a dispute - which I did, and he will also call the registry, to let them know about my situation. I mailed the registry a letter, in October. Haven't heard nothing back, that is - until early December ( 2020 ). I did give them a call this past Friday, as I wanted to talk to someone, I waited ( waste of time ) 12 minute, to leave a message, for someone to call me back. Here comes Monday, had an * unknown * call early Monday, I didn't answer as there was no name, or number. I called back maybe 15 minutes later. I explained my case the the lady, who took my call, telling her about my second letter, yes you read that right. It had nothing to do with * the dispute * now the problem is apparently I didn't file the said paperwork, like what the actual ****, back in July, the lady in the office did file them and she told me she will mail it that same afternoon. I did mail my * second * letter yesterday. The waiting time has started. I will update, once I know what is happening - if I will have another chance at looking at another apartment or not.

I've been to the office twice in 18 months to register for housing and then to re-register when I was old enough to qualify for Senior Housing. On both occasions I was fortunate enough to walk into an empty waiting room so there was zero waiting time and staff were friendly. I assure you that I'm not always that lucky (
