Great sales, and friendly staff. Found a new friend to bring home. The staff made my buying experience very pleasant.

Pros: Staff are friendly But my biggest con, and the potential reason I may not return: Every other week they are completely out of the food I feed my dog, Ive had to switch my dogs diet a few times now because every petsmart seems to have this issue of not keeping sufficient stock. Good thing I'm in Ottawa and don't have to rely on Petsmart. (For the record, my dog's food isn't special, its a commonly used, but well reviewed and budget friendly, brand). This isn't isolated either. I once switched him to a higher end with raw bites in it, when they didn't have his normal food in, and was GOING to keep him on it, BUT, low and behold, I go to replenish, and now THIS one is out, his normal food is STILL out (2 weeks later), and I'm forced, yet again, to waste a bunch of time playing \Where can I buy his food today?\ The store's need stock, this isn't games, or toys, this is FOOD.

Don't buy fish in this store, told one thing last week, and another this week now I have 2 fish and one is a beta they told my husband he will eat the other. Paid a lot of money was told to take pictures one week and nope should of brought back the dead bodies of the 2 fish so no refund... terrible awful, service.

Went to buy an algae eater. Staff said the ONLY thing he had was ones that grew to 11inches. Did not tell me about ghost shrimp, when he did he was fully aware that I had a fish that would eat that shrimp. Was 100% willing to sell me a shrimp to be eaten but wouldn’t sell me a catfish because he was afraid it would be lonely? Also didn’t even know they ate algae !!! Tried to act like he knew everything there was to know about them but didn’t know anything. Their own information pamphlet says they can be in a smaller tank with only one or two but they refused to sell less than 3 to me. But was willing to sell me something to be eaten or another giant shrimp that is able to jump out of my tank and possibly be aggressive towards my other fish. He knew absolutely nothing about it. Completely stupid. If you’re going to go to PetSmart go to the one innes. They actually know about their fish and aren’t completely contradicting.

I needed a pet: beta fish. They had selection, also my dogs fav spiky annoying squeaky ball in many colors and my cats fav treats. The cashier was kind enough to tell me what they fed the betas frozen stuff how often they were fed and told me one product wasn't as useful and could potentially hurt my fishy. So I listen to her advice and got the frozen blood worms for my fish.
