Oakwood Academy is the only DIR recognized school in Ontario. They really put the children first. Setting up fun sensory activities, spirit days, and concerts make learning at Oakwood fun! Staff are friendly, cooperative, and very understanding. Working at Oakwood Academy has allowed me to grow my confidence as an educator.

Watching the success that comes from this school is amazing. Everyone is dedicated to making sure each kids specific needs are met, and the kids are happy to be there! The environment is supportive and creative making it a great place to be!
I have been working at Oakwood Academy going on 4 years now. I have never in my career worked with a more dedicated, capable and talented team. The teachers, therapists, supervisors and directors sincerely care about every single student, and really believe in their theory and approach. It is an honour to work with this team!
This is the only school in Canada that uses The DIR Floortime Model. They provide individualized education plans for each of their students to support their individual differences and needs. Staff and management are very supportive and are dedicated to each and everyone of their students.
Went on a tour here a couple weeks ago. The staff were very knowledgeable and the kids seemed to be having fun at camp. They use the DIR model which I am not familiar with but sounds like it could be a good fit for my son.
