BUYERS BEWARE!!! They came to my house in 2016 saying that they were working on a government program to upgrade water system. Used a device to make water look dirty. I agreed to get it installed after being pressured in the sale. 2 years later I sold my house. Purchaser of my home was a lawyer who has dealt with Ontario Consumers and wanted nothing to do with them. I requested a buyout and charged me over 6000 for a device that is not even worth 1000 if you were to buy it privately. I requested to speak with someone to review this buyout and every time they say they are escalating the matter but no one ever calls you back. They take a lien on your house and you cannot close unless you pay their bill. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE THEM, THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM OF ALL!!!

My husband placed a service for our furnace back on July 12, 2018. He followed up on July 23 as we had not heard from anyone. We finally got a call from a technician August 6, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. to schedule something for the next day. I informed the technician that we went elsewhere to have the issue taken care of. I am so grateful to be paying through the nose for a service that is so poor. I would love to know who to contact for reimbursement for the service to our furnace that should have been done by this incompetent company, 18 business days to get back to a customer.....outrageous!

What a shady company I can't believe they swindled my mother two coming in the house and trying to sell furnace when she called me and told me what she did and went straight to her house only to find out that they quoted or close to 10,000 for a furnace and AC. After realizing that she could still use a furnace and AC based on the rebates that were available I did some more research and I called Air One to get a quote to see where the comparison was they quoted me for a carrier system top of the line 7,100 installed plus tax I couldn't believe it. This company how to set up to receive a Goodman system which is very lousy and unreliable. Our sales guy was at 416..708-.8455

I watched the Energy Trap segment on W5 and my heart sank. I believe my 83 year old mother has fallen into this trap. My mother's downfall is that she is too trusting and becomes more and more lonely as time goes on. This leaves her very vulnerable to door to door knockers, etc. In 2011, she told me that she had purchased a water heater from a door to door salesperson who was ‘such a lovely lady. She came in and had tea and cookies with me and she’s going to come back again to visit with me.’ She thought she had made a new friend. I was surprised because her old water heater worked perfectly and wasn’t in need of replacement. After seeing the segment on W5, alarm bells went off and I called my mother to find out what company she had made her purchase with. Sure enough the contract was with Ontario Consumers Home Services Inc. She is renting her unit from this company and will end up paying over a 10 year period nearly 20,000 for her water heater unit. After using a high pressure sales pitch to take advantage of an 83 year old widow, she now has a lien on her house and is paying astronomical monthly fees for this unit. I have no idea how this company can have good reviews unless they are paying people to write false reviews. This company is preying on the most vulnerable members of society and continue to get away with it.
