I own a small one bedroom condo in North York near the Allen and 401. The unit has a combination air conditioner and heating unit. New condos do not use this technology. One year ago, the A/C unit stopped working. Fortunately, the heating unit continued working. Our home A/C repairman put in a capacitor but it blew. He refused to do further work because Condo HVAC was a speciality. The system was over fifteen years old. The frustrating challenge to find a company willing to install a new condo HVAC system ended with Kevin Moeini of Home Trade Standards. Kevin sent in two technicians to look at the job. It turned out that one tech did the Fan Coil replacement on the condo roof while the other did the interior “combination” unit repair hanging in the laundry closet. Because of the small entry to the roof a crane was required. Kevin set everything up: ordered the crane, matched and ordered the interior unit and ordered the Ameristar fan coil for the roof. Kevin answered all emails and texts promptly and pleasantly. His belief in client service was exemplary. Kevin said that the new condo A/C install was a two-person job and would take twelve hours. At 9:00 AM, on the day of installation, Kevin was onsite as part of the crew of four to meet the crane. He explained it was a big job and he wanted to see the day go smoothly. I expected the install to take two days. The crew finished the job in one day. They worked straight through the day and finished at 8:30 PM. At the end of the day, they cleaned up by removing the old A/C unit and replaced parts. Although funding is available, I made four payments using online banking. The job was done. And done well! I give Kevin and Home Trade Standards an excellent rating for service, dedication and hard-work.
