I sent my scooter into the HME Shop for a flat tire, to check a rubbing sound coming from the back end at every tire rotation and to check the electrical as the power would shut off whenever I'd mount a curb or ramp locking the rear wheels. I was told there was nothing wrong with the back end, no rubbing sound could be heard (?) the tire valve was replaced and that I needed batteries. At 500 dollars a pop, I wanted to make sure the insurance company would do it's share but a mistake on the original bill of sale delayed an answer to the point I asked HME to send the scooter back until things got sorted out. It had been four weeks and the fridge was getting lite. Getting the scooter back I am not impressed with the fact that both sides of the rear wheel wells have been damaged. Paint scraped off and one tire has some kind of reddish rub mark. I know for a fact since I was outside with the delivery guy that he had a lot of trouble unloading the machine and nearly drove it off the ramp until I told him to stop. I signed the return slip and was billed 90 dollars on my credit card for the flat tire (tire not replaced.) Frustrating was the fact I had to call the office for a receipt. So now with the insurance settled, I'm ready to take care of the batteries. But I'm seriously not impressed with the condition this scooter...my scooter...was returned and dread calling HME again. Besides, other than Reception, you can never get anyone on the phone...Service, Rep or Billing. Oh and the power still shuts off on its own locking the wheels. But there's nothing wrong with it...yeah right.
Had to get some equipment for my father who is now disabled, the not only sold me the perfect products to make life easier for him but taught me a lot on how to care for him safer. They also have the best delivery service I have ever worked with. I would recommend them to all. Thank you HME and especially Lisa G for the kindness and helping advise top stars in my books.
I would give HME 100 Stars instead of 5. Melissa H. of HME is just AMAZING. Prior to purchasing my Evolution Rollator, I phoned & e-mailed her at least 20 times & EACH time, she responded IMMEDIATELY. She has Excellent knowledge of their products, is Super Efficient, Patient & Compassionate. My Rollator arrived within a few days of purchase in Perfect condition & even the delivery guy was very good at answering my question. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HME!!
When you cut three lanes on a highway in one go you might cause an accident and sell more equipment or you may get 1*....
