The waiting area is rather uncomfortable. There were Indians everywhere it seemed. I'm not sure if it was the Indians, the hard seats in the unheated waiting structure that hardly blocks any wind, or the disgusting mess on the floor of the waiting shed. Probably a combination of everything. Hands down the mill bay terminal sucks. It belong ls in 1994 Bosnia. Get it together BC ferries just because you have a monopoly on this type of travel dosn't mean you have to make it terrible.
Great way to get across the inlet quickly and avoid the dense traffic and drive over the Malahat. Highly recommend you take the time to enjoy this quick scenic boat trip across the water and drink in the ocean breeze.
I arrived here from Brentwood bay ferry terminal , it is a nice little trip both ways ! Was quite relaxed as a foot passenger , as many travel and stay in their car. Great views :)
The staff on this ferry run are some of the nicest in the fleet, my elderly mother has used the crossing ,as a short cut to visit her brother, well into her 90's, and one of the crew always helped her safely get on and off. It is also a lovely short sail across a very picturesque waterway,full of wildlife beautiful homes and wonderful boats.
