I have been a MEC member for over 20 years. Went to new location to buy new climbing shoes. Left with nothing because they had no stock of average men’s sizes! I was looking forward to not driving downtown, but will end up doing so to get the sizes I need. Really disappointing.

This is a great MEC store and the staff is very friendly and willing to help. I love the selection from Garmin watches to shorts with zippered pockets for cycling. Everything a girl could want on her travels!
Great store, was expecting more when they built it as its got the same quantity of things as the downtown one and i thought they were adding more features and attractions at this one. Still overall great and always my go to for camping, hiking or even rock climbing.

It's wonderful that MEC decided to build a store here. The location is very convenient. This store has a fair selection however it doesn't have everything. Best to check online before going there, to see if they stock what you are looking for. If not, ordering it and have it shipped to the store is a great option, since you can return it right away if it's not what you want.

A bunch of items were not priced, makes it hard to shop when you don't know the price. Would have liked more customer service since I am new to hiking, but the lady had to go answer the phone. Then when she came back she had to go to answer a page on the intercom. My husband said to gear up and gave me a 700 budget to buy what they recommended (since we are new to this) Only ended up spending 200 which is good because after having to carry everything in my arms due to a lack of bags I will gladly shop elsewhere. I've always thought Mec was the go to place but I guess not.
Took my front bicycle wheel in to possibly have the wheel bearing replaced and the bicycle mechanic (6'5" tall or so) whose name I didn't catch was incredibly friendly and helpful. Gave me a quick hand inspecting the wheel bearing for play and tightened some stuff up on the wheel for me. Got the wheel back on my bike and it's nice and tight again thanks to his help. Very impressed with the very friendly and quick service I received from this guy when he could have just told me to leave the wheel for them to have a look at it later on when it was more convenient.
