If you're looking for reassurance that online lessons can be effective, look no further. I started online lessons with Jane last summer for grade 8 piano. Her very friendly and constructive feedback was excellent motivation for me to get back into piano after many years of not playing. She has tons of experience and is very knowledgeable and helpful in pinpointing areas of weakness to focus on. After only about 6 months I was able to get back up to speed and managed to get a 90 on the grade 8 exam! I would absolutely recommend Jane to anyone looking to pursue their interest in piano and music.

My daughter started with Jane 2 weeks before her level one practical exam. (she was in a group class which was ended before the exam.) Jane made the transition very smooth and made lots of efforts for correcting and polishing her exam pieces. My daughter got 86 in the exam. All of us were very happy about the result. Now, my daughter is with Jane doing online piano course due to COVID-19 and it goes very well. My daughter loves it. Jane is very dedicate to teaching. Highly recommend if you are looking for a private piano teacher.

Jane taught both of my sons piano for about 8-9 years. Initially neither of my children were interested in taking RCM exams and it wasn't easy to find a teacher who was willing to work with them despite this. Jane worked with each of them to find music that interested them and was understanding of how much or how little time they were willing to put into practising over the years. Some years involved exam prep and other years didn't; Jane was always very flexible, positive and encouraging. I would highly recommend Jane!

I took piano lessons with Jane from the age of 12 to 18 and in those years she helped me pass through all levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music and multiple levels of music theory. I even began teaching some lessons myself when I started in college. I always found Jane to be very understanding of the ebbs and flows in my practicing, which was at times exciting and rapid and at other times was a bit more on the back burner in my adolescence. She really helped me develop my musical ear and I think that she is the reason I can appreciate such subtleties in music to this day. I continue to play, thanks to those years of training, and I can now spread the gift of music myself by teaching and inspiring friends. We continue to be in touch, 8 years after my last lesson with her. She has always welcomed me to play at her recitals even once I was no longer a student, just for the opportunity to practice and perform. Jane is not only a great teacher but she is also a great person.

My daughter came home one day with Jane's card in hand and said \I want to take piano lessons\ ... I thought, sure, why not. She began with Jane and enjoyed it so much she is going back for a second year. Jane is very encouraging with her students and cares about their achievements no matter how big or small. Gabrielle is very much looking forward to her lessons in the fall.
