Went there on thursday march 4th around noon. Needed help and had some questions about two nighstands. I went to ask one of their employes for help she was busy so she called her manager to help ( i think it was her manager im not sure ) she came to help me but she was very very rude. first of all she was extremely rude to the other employe ( a lady ) the one who called her manager for me to help me out. I was shocked how rude she was and then she did the same thing with me. Super Blonde lady with glasses. Would rather not ask for help and shop from another homesense than getting help from that lady.
I worked for this location for almost 5 years and adored my job. When new management came into place and issues arose nobody was willing to help me. I was openly harassed by the store manager and even told “you need to get your anxiety under control because it is too much for me too handle.” I confided in said manager and told her of my mental state at the time and how I was feeling suicidal. She told me to “stay at work, there’s lots to get done”, because this is strictly where her priorities are. There was 0 support given to anyone that was dealing with mental health. I even went as far as reaching out to HR and was assured things would improve.. Nothing did. In fact, this only made the work environment more hostile for me. Things became so bad that when I was not at work this said manager would take her bad mood out on other employees and they would comment that I was not there so she was attacking them instead. Overall this is a terrible place to work and the manager treats the employees like dogs. TJX praises that they are there for their employees and they want to support them yet NOBODY has ever taken action. They just let me resign my position without a thought. Maybe they will listen now.
