It was ok. Placed an order online for curbside pick up. Was ready in two hours. When I arrived I had to call the number for 5 min just to get an answer. Then waited another 20min for them to come out. It was very busy there so I didn't mind waiting. Better than having to go in. The employees should get paid a premium for the work they do! It's much appreciated.

One of the oldest Canadian Tire's stores in the area. Well stocked with all the current household items. From automotive to camping to toilet paper... Great suits staff, just waiting to aid in finding what you're looking for. Well stocked with tools, lures, paints... Lots of parking, and a gas bar to boot...

Just want to say a big “Thank you” to all the guys in the service department at Canadian Tire, Upper James, Hamilton. Every time I go in there all the guys are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and honest. When you explain what’s wrong with your car the guys on the desk usually have an idea of what’s wrong!! It’s refreshing to know that some service departments actually still look at your car to find out what’s wrong with it and not just plug it in to a computer and wait for it to tell them something really expensive needs replacing and it’s only a loose battery terminal!! Yes this did happen to me, so, after previous great visits to Upper James Canadian Tire for, small stuff, I decided to drop in for a second opinion. From being told at the dealership I needed a 1000 for replacement parts, it turned out the guys at Canadian Tire said I needed a new battery terminal 9 tax and labour!!!! Since this experience I have continued to trust in them and I’ve never been let down. Not only do they look for the problem they actually shop around to find you the best price for parts that they can. Thanks again Ben and the team for your honesty, hard work and excellent customer service, from a guy who hasn’t got a clue about engines other than where to top up the oil!!! Great bunch of guys, Thanks again Andrew!!!!

** Edited after discussion with corporate and service manager ** There was initially an issue with my service which means I cannot give a 5 star review. Initially, I had created a bad review. The details of the issue are not important. What is really important is the level of customer service and follow up once Canadian Tire corporate and the Service Manager Ben were aware of my issue. My dealings with Ben especially have changed what was a bad experience into an experience that renews my trust in Canadian Tire and the service center at this location. My advice would be to take your car in for your service needs. If you have an issue, discuss it with the team. I have no doubt they have your best interests as a customer in mind.

Took in a car battery to get tested. As another shop said that i only had 473 of the 900 cranking amps. Canadian Tire took an hour and a half to give results of the battery (Eliminator) as it was under warranty. Seems to me they charged then tested it? Wish they tested it first, it may have told me if it had held the charge from previous day with two hour drive? Now when i went to Walmart to test another battery it just took five minutes with a tester that spit out a paper saying the state of battery. So Canadian Tires procedure seemed a bit odd. The staff there were good, i figure just going by their procedure. While waiting i purchased a cooking digital thermometer. All was good, everyone wearing masks as i did also.
