Nice to have a Mountain Equipment Co-op on the South Shore. I've been a member since 1986. This store is well located, but smaller than other MEC stores. They do a good job of arranging inventory to maximize selection - clothing is in double racks, but the range of goods is limited in some departments. MEC offers free delivery online delivered to the store, so that's handy for large items. Good products, good quality.

As a long time MEC Cool member I am very disappointed in this store. I have lived all over Canada and have had great service from MEC in every other store I've been. MEC is my go to gear store and I often promote it to friends and family. Sadly, this store will be excluded from my recommendations from now on. I just left the store with a backpack that has started disintigrating. The clerk told me it wasn't covered under warranty. She was standing right in front of the store's warranty policy (which is the reason I am a MEC member). This is the THIRD time I've had this experience at this location and have never had any other store refuse my warranty claims?!? I'm clearly not abusing the policy. I'm just looking for the warranty to be upheld. Very poor customer service. A disgrace to the MEC name. I am boycotting this location and suggest you do the same!!
