Arrived at Fergus Custom Upholstery hating our wing chair. Picked it up 3 weeks later in disbelief that it was our chair! Celina painstakingly looked through books with us, and expedited our fabric order. Carl coached us on what he looks for in the “bones” of the chair’s construction, and then went to town in transforming it! He offered finishing ideas and suggestions. Given our fabric choice he recommended a darker leg stain. He stained the wood, and was absolutely right! The colour and fabric design came alive with the enhanced colour. You will find superb customer service in Fergus Custom Upholstery’s friendliness, knowledge, price point and workmanship! PS I also needed draperies made. Celina ordered the fabric for me, and connected me with a fabulous seamstress. A kindhearted pair, with strong work ethic and desire to please! A rare find!

Carl and the team at Fergus Custom Upholstery did an outstanding job on our custom corner banquette. Carl was very professional to work with, taking the time we needed to discuss the details of construction, and the upholstery options. We wanted to use leather and he took the time to educate us on the different leathers and how they would wear, which was a big concern for us. We love the leather we chose and the top stitching is perfect. Quality work and on time. It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen. Carl and team thank you very much.

Very impressed by the service and quality of work! Carl kept us involved throughout the process and was able to deliver more than a week before the deadline. Went in originally to have a leather couch recovered and ended up ordering a custom chaise displayed in the shop in addition to the couch. Priced reasonably. Would definitely recommend and not hesitate to work with them again.

The owner, Carl, re-upholstered two armchairs for us, and built a new foot stool, from scratch, to match them. Excellent workmanship in all respects and good value for the money. It took a couple of weeks longer than expected, but was worth the wait. **See my photo of the completed chairs and stool.** Their storefront shop is like something from 1950, but who cares .. the work is fabulous. Carl came to our house in Guelph to help us pick the fabric and later came to pick the chairs up ... and finally to return them when finished; there was no charge for either service. If you have old furniture with a *hardwood* frame, it's worth getting it recovered. May not be less costly than buying new ones but the furniture made today is not built to last. Our chairs were 40 years old but solid as a rock, unlike the flimsy stuff they sell today. With the high quality synthetic fabric we had specified, I'm sure they will look great for 20 years ... then, we will get them recovered again since the frames will still be perfect.
