Awesome experience from start to finish! From the phone call takeout order to actually getting our food to the tastiness and freshness of everything! It was all 10/10. I usually don't write reviews but this place was really good. Sushi spots can be a hit or miss especially if it isn't fresh. The woman taking our order even called us after a while when we took a little longer to get there to check in and make sure we hadn't forgotten! Which I thought was really kind. And they gave us a nice little beef dumpling on the house with our order to our surprise. We'll definitely be back.

Great sushi take out place. Other places are stale when you order, buy not Sushi-ya Japan. Great quality food and service.
I'm a big fan of Sushi!! I started working in Etobicoke and for the first time ordered through Uber Eats and was amazed with the Dragon Rolls. The very next day I visited the store and got the Miso Soup, Salmon rolls and Japanese tea. One of the things which is vital and most important for me is that the food here is Fresh! made in front of me and amazed me once again. I had some good sushis but with no doubts if you are looking for an Authentic Sushi then Sushi-Ya Japan is the place to be. More to add, they are tooking great precautions in these Covid times, my order was takeaway even then the presentation was really good, watch the photo attached ;) and i would add to other reviews that I also got surprise box on the house. Loved the services, amazing food, good quantity, value for money, highly recommend. I'm definitely going back again... and again :)
If I could give this place more stars I would! I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, it’s the same chef from day one and he is awesome. Everyone gets a greeting when they enter, the fish is always fresh and consistently delicious. I would not go anywhere else in Etobicoke for sushi. The Hot Mama Roll and spider roll are some of my favourites and if you want something different give the Marco Polo Roll a try. They always give you stuff on the house, and during the holidays they give beautiful gifts to their loyal customers which is something I never experienced in my life. I have beautiful Japanese tea, plates, bowls and cups from the years. If you dine alone be sure to sit at the bar, the chef will keep you nicely entertained which makes for nice company. I’ve done take out during the pandemic and everything still arrives amazing, minus the great company!
Love their food! One of the best quality and freshest sushi I've ever had. Excellent customer service and the owner/chef is always super friendly.
