This shelter is amazing! They help the abandoned and abused. And a MASSIVE amount of love, time, care and money is put into all the animals. WHARF has saved thousands of animals that would otherwise be euthanized, and gave thousands of families, a new furry family friend. If you can I would definitely suggest, adopting, fostering, or volunteering for WHARF. It’s an excellent organization.

I adopted one of the ragdoll kittens on Saturday, November 28th. The day I brought her home, she had diarrhea and blood on her stool. She was lethargic and slept lots so I just thought she just needed time to adjust to her new home. We took her to the vet on Tuesday, December 1st to get her checked for her diarrhea and bloody stool. They sent us home with medication. The following days, she did not get better and lost her appetite completely. She had no energy and just slept all day. On Saturday, December 5th she started coughing and clear liquid came out. The following day, she continued to cough but this time there was blood. I rushed her to the emergency hospital where they ran tests and got her blood work done. We were told that she had pneumonia and had a very slim chance of survival. The doctors suggested that we put her down because she was suffering. On Sunday, December 6th we said goodbye to our Luna. We only had her for a little over a week and the vet and hospital bills came up to almost 2000. This was my first time adopting and I am traumatized. I do not recommend this rescue.
The folks at Wharf are amazing! We were pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and enthusiasm when communicating about our pet. They made the process simple and ensured our needs were met. They even sent photos and videos, with daily updates on our pup the week prior to meeting him! All in all, wonderful experience and dedicated staff made this absolutely a pleasure!!
This shelter is amazing! They care for the animals so much and put so much work into the shelter! The volunteers are so caring and is very ovbious they love and care for every single animal that comes in!
