This place has a great atmosphere. It's modern and fun, while at the same time maintaining authentic Japanese elements and decor. There are lots of TV's and huge projectors to watch sports. Staff are friendly and attentive. There's even ping pong if you're in the mood. The food is excellent, sushi & sashimi are better than anywhere in Edmonton that I've tried. There are also creative menu twists, my personal favorite were the jalapeno poppers. There is also an impressive authentic sake and drinks selection. Prices are reasonable given the quality and core downtown location. You gotta check this place out!

Best value for of the meal in DT YEG as they start offer daily lunch special for 12 all weekdays. Can’t go wrong with 4 happy hour drinks and late night appetizers too. Highly recommended to everyone and definitely be back very soon and often too

A fairly decent newer Japanese establishment - we're a fan of the Crispy Spicy Tuna and Crispy Spicy Salmon rolls. Salmon sashimi is quite good, though we had one instance where it didnt seem too fresh, but that was one time out of several visits, so we're not too perturbed by it. Definitely recommend checking out, especially during their happy hour special.

Huge restaurant with majority of the seating are high tops. Lovely decor and good selection of food choices. Sushi was good and customer service was mediocre.

After having a not so great first experience at Tokeo, we decided to go back in and give it one more try. The Manager recognized us straight away and made sure we were looked after and provided with the best service. The food was excellent, the service was great and we would definitely go back again. Fantastic restaurant and would recommend.

Came here for lunch. What I ordered was on special for the day, so price was reasonable. I wouldn't want to pay full price though. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing special, but not bad either. Decor is kind of cool, but projectors in a sunny restaurant was a bad call. Hard to tell if they're trying to be a sports bar or modern take on North American Japanese gastropub. I can see why people like this place. Having traveled to Japan on the regular, my standard for Japanese food is quite high. I suppose the food here is about in line with most Japanese food in Edmonton. Friendly service but mixed for timing. Still was able to finish and get back to work within the lunch hour.
