The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The environment was clean and fresh. The food was excellent. Although, you don't realize how much food there is at first. We had the all you can eat and we ate more than we should.

Great restaurant to try great food. Prices are a in the medium range so I suggest going with a group! Our server was very polite and friendly although would have liked them to check our table more often. Overall, great experience, fun and delicious meat!

This restaurant was our stress reliever. My friends and I always come whenever we celebrate something or just stress from school. Unfortunately, today was the first time we encountered unmannered server. I gave a tip already but she forced my friend to give more because she said she have to pay the company if we don't. As far as I know, tip is by choice and its like an appreciation for the server that he/she did a great service. But she didn't give us that " good service " she didn't even change the grill for us it was the other guy that change it so she don't deserve what she was asking for. She act very rude when my friend refused to give more.

Time and time I go here, I am greeted like I'm family. I have been here about 9 times since they opened and not one time have I left unsatisfied. From the service to the food , around gyu-kaku your in for a treat. I came again tonight for my 21 birthday and everyone actually recognized me, even with my mask on. To say that I love it here would be an understatement. Thank you for a great meal, everytime. I cant wait, till the next.

Fun experience dining here, service was great and very efficient. Thorough covid practices implemented here. We ordered the Chef's Favourite BBQ Course and it was a decent value for 2 people. Miso soups and salad were tasty and brought out quickly. Dipping sauces given to you prepared in a 3 compartment dish. Broccoli and cheese dish was meh. Wide variety of quality meats to BBQ. Several different types of marinated beef that melted in your mouth. This was a strange contrast to the beef in the beef sukiyaki bibimbap though, that meat was horrible and chewy. The flavour was really good though, just couldn't bring myself to eat more than a piece or two of the sukiyaki beef strips. Our waitress was great and kept the drink glasses full and changed out our dirty grills often. Really appreciated having a chilled glass for my beer, it was the perfect touch to have while grilling. Would fully recommend this place.

They are on the pricey side but man you are in Canada & not in Asia. So try this amazing Japanese BBQ grill experience and eat at your hearts content. It’s worth it! Love all of it! Kids and kids at heart also love the Chicken Karaage.

Was very disappointed with my dining experience at Gyu-Kaku. Yes, I did go on Valentine's Day so we expected it to be a little busy, which was fine. But what is the point of having a reservation if you have to wait at the door for 40 minutes until you are seated? (Keep in mind they told us it would be 20 minute wait max) The guy at the front desk consistently reminded us that once we are seated we only have 90 minutes at our table, I think he let us know a total of 3 times while waiting to be seated and 5 times while sitting at our table waiting for our food. He really put a damper on the whole experience and did not offer any discount for inconvenience. Our server (I believe her name was Alyssa?) was great, you could tell she was overwhelmed and we are aware that the unavailable menu items and alcoholic beverages were out of her control but she did her best to make up for it. Management needs to be better prepared and focus on the customer experience rather than rushing people out. Do not recommend.

Awesome Japanese BBQ experience. Reminds me of our visit to Beijing a few years ago where we dined in similar settings. Great food, even better service!
