Good and friendly service. Location is great. Cut my keys no problem. Other major key cutting places won’t or don’t have the option to cut my key!!

Similar to a previous reviewer, I have had positive experiences here, but my last experience was so upsetting I had to leave a review. In summary, I paid to have two pairs of shoes cleaned/condition and one resoled (the resoling was based on the younger employee's suggestion). I went to pick them up and they weren't ready, but I was blamed as I didn't have my copy of the paper slip. Never mind that I easily spotted the box with my shoes and his copy of the paper, so I don't know why mine was needed. He started cleaning them right in front of me, but I told him (nicely) I'd rather just come back later. He then said that I hadn't paid for cleaning and he was doing it for free, although that was the whole reason I had brought them in. Further, he wouldn't let me look at the paper to confirm. I finally explained to him that I had to go to a work appt, and that I am (35 weeks) pregnant so didn't want to be exposed to the fumes. He said I should have explained this earlier, but still refused to finish the job. So, 60 dollars later, my shoes are still not done in this slushy weather. I will be strongly recommending colleagues and friends (I work downtown) to avoid this place. Funny enough, I did recommend this place to a friend at one point and she ended up having a bad experience but I insisted on continuing to go. It' not worth the risk even if the location is convenient. At the very least make sure you pay after, not before, service, and be prepared to look through your purse for your paper..

I have brought many, many shoes here because of the convenience of the location. I usually have good service, the shoes are ready in less than 2-3 days, and the end result is very good. However, the past 3 experiences have been terrible and so I felt obliged to leave this review. The last time I went, I had a pair of boots that the zipper needed fixing. They said it would be ready Friday as I was leaving for a trip and needed them by then. I went Friday to pick up the boots and they were not completed... odd? So the lady working called her \boss\ to ask him how we could fix it... ended up breaking it even more. So I brought it back the next week and the elderly gentleman working said he could fix it, that it would cost 60 and he wanted a 20 cash deposit now and then maybe the \boss\ would discount me when I came to pay when it was completed. I said no, because that sounded sketchy, and he told me to come back in 2 days when it was completed. I came back in 2 days, and it was not completed. A week later, I get a call. I go in to grab the boots and the guy working (the \boss\ I presume) said it was 20... so the other guy clearly was trying to rip me off? Very odd. I will not be going back here. OH, and the zipper job looks awful since they used a completely different colour of metal for it from the other boot. UPDATE: Found a new shoe repair guy and he is awesome... EXPERT SHOE REPAIR, also downtown :)

Had a 4 inch rip in my briefcase where the shoulder strap attaches. Brought the bag in, in the morning after dropping my stuff off at the office. Came back in the afternoon to pick it up. Better then new, they sewed in an extra piece of leather across the seam. Very happy with the work.

I had a great experience there, and the workers are very respectable, and humble towards their customers. I recommend anyone who has problems with shoes, bags, or clothes to try it out. They do a very well job.
