My experience at the Snore shop was mixed. I paid the 100 dollars to try their equipment out for a month. Appointments with a consultant each week. I'm never late for an appointment anyway, but they have a 15 min window that if you miss, you miss your appointment, however, on more than one occasion they left me sitting waiting for over 15 min past the appointment time with no apology. The consultant was nice, and informative, however, when I indicated that I would not be purchasing my CPAP equipment from them her Demeanor changed instantly and she couldn't wait to get me out of there. Their prices for CPAP equipment is outrageous, they charge more than double what certain other provinces do. Certain other provinces are regulated in what they charge, but not here in NS. In NS they can charge whatever they want, and they do! Most people don't bother doing their research and are not aware of this. The Company I dealt with is reputable, on Sun Life's approved list and offer the same after purchase services for no additional charge. I had my Equipment two days after purchase by fedex at no additional charge. Insurance will cover any cpap purchase as long as it's from a reputable company within Canada. There's some people that don't have insurance and have to pay full price, what the Snore Shop charges for a Resmed machine is scandalous! Even with insurance I paid half out of pocket I would have with the Snore Shop.....plus The Snore Shop adds 100 dollars that isn't even covered to the final price, so, right off the bat you pay an extra 100 dollars on top of your out of pocket amount. This really is just a money grab on people that don't know better.
