Hard to get a hold of, doesn't stick to timelines. They repaired several pairs of my shoes but there are definitely better Cobblers in Winnipeg. Poor quality and less than mediocre service. He isn't even at his stand in WPG Square half the time and you have to wait around for like 30 mins at a time.

I had been here a couple of times in the past with no issues. Despite that, this most recent time was a disaster. I dropped a pair of shoes off and informed them I had a tight timeline and needed them by Friday. The proprietor said he would make it work, but to just come later on in Friday to make sure they were done. Tried to call the number on their business card Friday before heading over and it was disconnected. Walked over from home (a 45 minute round trip) to find that my shoes were not only not finished, but hadn't even been started yet. I gave the employee grief and expressed my frustrations, and his response was to become rude with me and try and hand me my money back. I told him flat out "no, you can fix my shoes as we had agreed to, and have them ready Monday." After some convincing, he reluctantly agreed. To his credit he did call me later that day and apologize for how he acted. I picked the shoes up Monday with no issue, although a partial or full refund would have been appreciated for the hassle. One of the two repairs he did on my shoe was to repair the inside back of the shoes with new leather. I had expected him to see in new pieces of leather. Instead he used very low grade leather, and simply glued it on. Sure enough, after less than two weeks, the leather started peeling off. A real piss poor job done and will no longer recommend this place to people as I had done in the past. Service and quality has gone downhill.

Although mine was just a minor repair, I was still surprised as to how quick he did mine! And so affordable too!

I will never go back, terrible service, was lied too, and he tried to under refund me when I wanted my money back. (story below) Was told it would take a week to repair my boots and when I came back in a week I was told he was really busy and guaranteed they would be done in a couple days. I was given guarantee after guarantee that they would be done by "insert day here" and when that day came they never were. Finally asked how much progress had been made on them and he said that he had been working on them and implied they were nearly done, guaranteeing again that they would be done on Monday (nearly a month after I had dropped them off). Went in on Tuesday and was told that he hadn't done any work on them yet but he would start soon. Asked for a refund and my boots back, and I had to pull up my credit card statement to get him to give me the correct amount of money back as he thought he had charged me less....

They also repair other leather products. They did a wonderful job on my ripped leather jacket.

Just like the other reviews on here. timeline keeps getting extended. When I finally did receive the shoes, the work was fine, but really needs to set better timeline with customers.

I've taken two pair of boots here for some stitching and leather patching work and I am very impressed with the quality of the repairs!

Poor customer service. Misquoted me the price. Said lifts were 15-25, then for two charged me 89.25. Then took a rather long time to get the job done because he was "backed up". Said it would be done on Monday, phoned and said come get them Thursday. Went in on Thursday, said they weren't done - come in on Monday. Went in Monday and said they weren't done, come back on Wednesday. Didn't bother going in on Wednesday. Got a call on Thursday said shoes were ready on Friday. Went in on Friday and FINALLY were done. If you're backed up with work, you're backed up with work, but have a realistic idea of when you're going to get the job done, don't call your customers in five different times.
