Very disappointed in my service appointment today for outstanding warranty work on my one year old Montana High Country 5th wheel. The appointment was scheduled over 6 months ago. I called the day before to confirm everything was still a go for my visit on the following day but the service department was too busy to take my call. Reception took my name and number and said they would have them call me back later in the day. No return call happened so I call again at the end of the day and it when directly to voicemail, I leave another message. No callback happened either, so I roll the dice and hooked up the 5th Wheel and head out. I show up to the Carstairs location, which is a 170km round trip journey for me. They proceed to tell me they are fully booked and that they only have one tech in the shop today who is busy doing demonstrations today. "How long until your next camping trip" they ask me, as they smile at me thinking this is an acceptable compromise for my inconvenience as they will want to hold my RV for the next three weeks. "But, I made this appointment over 6 months ago to avoid this exact issue", "Sorry, there is huge turnover here lately". You will find most RV dealerships, and Carstairs RV being no exception, will avoid at all costs warranty related work over that of customer chargeable work. I request my warranty parts so I can do the replacement myself, I grab my keys, hook up and leave. I suppose this is one way to offload your warranty obligations! I will not purchase my next RV from Carstairs RV, nor will I recommend my friends or family to this organization either. Post purchase service related work, Carstairs RV gets a failing grade. In most companies, Sales brings in the new customers and normally Service/Support are the ones that loses those customers forever. Carstairs RV lost me as an ongoing customer today because of the horrible service experienced I had today. Trevor

We were travelling through Alberta when we ran into an issue with our trailer. We contacted carstairs RV and spoke to Kat, who works in service. Kat was so awesome, she got us in quickly, on the same day, to have the issue looked at. She also took care of the warranty for us so we didn't have to worry. Amazing customer service. Great place to deal with, would highly recommend. The technician who worked on the trailer was also great and as well as fixing the original issue, he noticed that our hitch was set up incorrectly and went out of his way to adjust it without charging us.
I purchased a used trailer in spring/summer and I've had a wonderful experience. While camping near buy in the Sundre area I had a problem with a hot water bypass or other i think and I called our sales man Larry and he came out himself to fix the unit on his way through. Its nice to know that he was a licensed RV technician, I got two for one on this deal. Thank you so much!
Friendly people and good selection of RV'S and some motor homes, new and used. They have a decent selection of parts. Can't say anything about there prices on RV'S, wasn't buying one
Great experience! Staff were patient as we searched for the right trailer. They had it cleaned and ready to go when we needed it. We really enjoyed camping in our new trailer!
Bought our RV from Carstairs RV best place ever! Fantastic deal love the service they give you the best experience shopping for a RV and are well knowledged in RVs for what suits you best at a reasonable cost!
Purchased 2017 Montana 3160 RL from these guys. Took trailer in under warranty 9 months later because of battery drain issue. Battery goes totally dead in three days while in storage. Service manager says there is nothing wrong. I said that's not acceptable and it needs to be fixed. Over six weeks now and multiple phones calls they still have the trailer. Take your business elsewhere.
There is absolutely no service or help after you make you purchase here. I would never go back, terrible customer service.
