My son noticed Koji through his friends' IG and we decided to try. This restaurant appealed to me as it only sells one category of food, katsu, deep fried cutlets. We tried the pork and prawn katsu. Portion size was good, to the point my teenage son was unable to finish. The taste was also impressive and we were thinking to return again to try out different items. The meal came with a miso soup and a side dish, both were tasty, I also enjoyed the miso soup with fried tofu, and mushroom. Definitely a gem in Calgary. No reservation and the space is tight, so plan accordingly and prepare to wait a bit.
My personal favorite Katsu spot in Calgary. Flavors were all there, the cutlets were super crispy yet juicy, and portions are generous Service was great, our server was very attentive Wish the location was bigger because it can be hard to get seats and I will definitely be going back

Amazing Katsu, even travels well as takeout! Katsu is a difficult food to do well for takeout, but this place nailed it! We ordered a Cheese Katsu and a Chicken Katsu for takeout. Everything was amazing. The Katsu was incredibly crispy, and the flavours were amazing. Really felt like I was in Japan. Love this place and can't wait to go back for dine-in service.
I really like this place! Went here yesterday and got the chicken katsu don. The katsu was crispy, meat was delicious and the place was super cute. I'll definitely return!
Finally got to try Koji! It was really good We got the cheese, hire, and rosu katsu. The cheese was good but I felt there needed to be a better proportion of meat vs. cheese as there was almost no meat. The hire and rosu was soft and tender and the sauce went well with it. It also came with miso soup and cabbage/radish. Hoping to dine in someday!
Best Katsu spot in Calgary! Staff is super friendly and the portions are huge and delicious :)
