My Mum was taken to Emergency , we did wait to see the Dr. But well worth the wait. She received excellent attention and was admitted for treatment. We couldn’t have asked for better care, Thank you everyone.

Excellent in every way, as you would expect from an Alberta hospital.

I don't understand why people are leaving bad reviews. It's a backwater hospital but the attendings know their ER medicine. Sure they don't have the tech of Calgary but this is Canada - if you're dying they'll heli you there. I've been here a few times...never waited was never treated badly

Poor experience here. Nurses are lacking professionalism, and basic skills. I brought a family member here who was suffering from severe headaches and nausea. We got in and everything was going normal, that is until they did not allow myself and my mother to come in with him, nor did they bother to offer (Note, he is 17, and under-age). While he was telling the nurse his conditions, she would roll her eyes and question if he knew how he actually felt. Little did she know 20 minutes prior he was in severe pain, vomiting, and believing he was dying. We were able to talk our way into being with him. The doctor came in and was great. He suggested to give him an injection, and of course, that nurse did it. She came in, and rolled her eyes as she said "We are going to give you medication". Once she prepared for the needle, she jammed it in his arm with no warning. Following that, she slammed the needle on her desk and said "You're done", and asked us to leave. Aren't the doctors supposed to wait 15-20 minutes to see if the meds do anything? Very sketchy and unwelcoming. Will not be back, and do not suggest anyone come here. Will be going to High River next time...

I had an excellent experience in the emergency department here the evening and night of Tuesday, January 24, 2017; that is if you can call a trip to ER excellent! The unit secretary who checked me in and the nurses taking care of me were pleasant and efficient. Dr. Tristan Hemsbroff was quick with the very obvious diagnosis, gentle in exam to not cause more pain, and immediately presented the plan all the while having a very caring demeanor about him.

My Grandma was admitted on June 26th with a broken leg. She was very pleased with the facility as well as the kind and helpful care she received from the healthcare staff before they transferred her to Calgary.

When I broke my ankle a few years ago it took them an entire weekend, plus nearly 12 hours in the emergency room for the Doctors to see it was broken, in fact, the X-ray technician said it was broken after taking the X-ray, a Doctor who later preformed my surgery in Calgary was in the middle of a surgery when he saw my X-ray and immediately saw my ankle was broken and call for me to be scheduled for surgery. Black diamond doctors are just... incompetent, perhaps not all, but it shouldn’t have taken them a weekend for them to see it was broken. Don’t go here for emergencies.
