Had a really relaxing week there. Only two things were missing. A fire poker oh, and a wine opener really nice place to go

Me and my family booked the lodge for a day at Bearspaw Ranch and it was our first time doing something like this. The hospitality from the beginning was amazing and the owners are very kind. They showed us around the ranch, and were very adaptive to problems we encountered. We were allowed to pet and feed the horses and the kids were even allowed to get on them. They have a binder telling you what you can do at Bearspaw Ranch, but I would recommend bringing something of your own to entertain yourself. The lodge is clean, and simple- although we found some trouble with toilet in the main bathroom. My rating is mostly based on the hospitality of the owners, but there’s also lots to do with the big backyard, the gazebo and a playground as well! Would love to come back better prepared next time.

My girlfriend and I came for the weekend and had a great time. We rented the single bedroom cabin which was very comfortable and a very good price. The property was beautiful and the owners extremely friendly. I hope to go back and would recommend this place to anyone!

This was an amazing getaway before I have my baby, Ariel (July 25). What are the chances of so many animals being pregnant along with me, it was kind of weird. A little colt was born on the night we got there. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin with our dogs and it was worth every penny. The cabin was stalked with everything we needed from bedding to all the kitchen appliances and dishes. Although there was no bathroom in the cabin it was less than a minutes walk away. For those chilli nights the cabin has a propane fireplace, this came in handy a couple nights due to rain. They also have two common fire pit areas, one covered and one open and free firewood. Over by the washrooms (when you first pull in) there is horseshoe pits to play and a big green space for your kids with a park to keep them busy. There are also walking trails to enjoy a nature walk and horse trails if you decide to bring your horses. My husband brought his dirt bike which was only a 30 minute drive from the ranch along the Pembina river with many paths for that adrenaline fun called, “the gravel pit.” Drayton Valley is a 20 minute drive in case you forgot something, they have Wal-Mart, Tim’s, Canadian Tire, And McDonald’s etc. You really need to check this gem out!

Was out here for a family reunion this past weekend. Perfect spot, those of us who camped stayed in the field with power sites and those who don't camp had options with the lodge and cabins. Kids had a blast and the family that run it are very nice. It rained but was no problem because of the lodge and there is a gazebo over one of the fire pits that is well vented to let the smoke out. Perfect spot for a group gathering. Watch out for the Google maps directions, it took most of us off roading looking for a range road that is actually a farmers field, use the directions on the website. Lots of wasps around as well, most be careful near the bushes. Hopefully we'll plan another trip out there in the future.
