Easy ride from Ganges. No steep hills. Not much there so coffee up before you come. Nice shaded park.

We went to Long Harbour for an anniversary get away. We were on Lake Cusheon for three nights and explored all over Salt Spring Island. I really enjoyed the ferry ride. On the way there we did three stops on different islands, but the trip back was straight to the mainland. The people on the ferry were awesome. When we went for lunch, we were there for shift change, so had to wait a few minutes. Little did any of us know that the previous shift did none of the prep needed for the next shift, so five minutes wait stretched to 15, because the poor employees were scrambling to get everything they needed to done. The young man behind the lunch counter kept all of us entertained and the situation calm, so there were no grumpy grumbles you see so often in waiting lines. Because we'd been chatting, that same young man gave me some insights into the ins and outs of ferry travel and passengers, along with extra gravy for my french fries. An excellent trip!

Caught the number 4 bus from Ganges to Long Harbour which takes about 6 minutes to reach the ferry terminal where you catch the ferry to Pender, Mayne, Galiano, and Tsawwassen. There isn't anything else at Long Harbour other than the ferry dock.
