I had gallbladder removal here. My surgery was the first one of the morning and they were fairly prompt. All the staff I encountered that day were kind and knowledgeable. The hospital could definitely use an update. And I could’ve used a bit more information on what to do and to expect when recovering at home. But overall my experience was fairly good.

We have had both of our kids delivered at this hospital and have had great experiences each time. While the hospital is aging and the infrastructure needs an update, it's not enough to change our entire experience. The nurses and staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, and we were very satisfied with our overall care. The food is also really good, and the cafeteria ladies are awesome. If you want to deliver in a very modern, picture perfect hospital, yorkton doesn't really offer that, but for the facility available they do a pretty good job.

Just had my baby here and can't say enough about the great staff at the hospital. Everyone was amazing. The down side was the maternity ward had rusty shower curtain hooks along with a rusted missing grab bar in the shower. The best part was we got to pay 65 bucks a day for a private room and it didn't have hot water. The 60 year old tiles on the floor for sure have asbestos along with the ducting and they fix roof leaks with a bucket. Classy place. You will see all this in the photos I posted. Hopefully other people will see this and bring it to the attention to the person or department in charge. Who ever is doing it now should get to work and change some stuff in this place. I'm extremely disappointed in the state of this hospital.

Hospital is OLD wide open areas...can walk from outside to the nursery like nothing. Doctors wearing regular clothes to check on patients, nurses still wearing there coats coming from outside/smoke breaks etc. If you can go to Regina! I wish we did.

Went in late at night with a terrible asthma and allergy flare up. I was greeted by such a really nice receptionist. Was seen right away by two of the nicest nurses, both very caring and very helpful. The doctor on staff was also incredibly nice and would defiantly recommend this hospital. Am from Ottawa,ON and this is one of the better hospitals I have ever been too. Now due to the time I went in at, everything took about an hour and then I was on my way. Such kind and amazing staff!! Thank you!

This is an aging hospital and it struggles to keep up with the population it has to serve. Kudos to the staff for having to work with the limitations. Parking is limited (there is now pay parking which is clearly wrong when you are sick). People are having to park across the road in a mud-pit. Expect very long ER wait times. The standard of care is very much dependent on which doctors are on (like any other center). The nursing staff, especially in the ER are very good and seem to care. The hospital is equipped for various surgeries which is big benefit to the region. This hospital needs replacement or expansion however.
