We really enjoyed our time at Yiannis. I was here for my birthday with my spouse and we fall in love right from the door. The server/attendant was excellent. The appetizers was very good, I had the chicken soup and my better half had the ouzo prawns. We ordered for the lamb and Atlantic Salmon and we really enjoyed it. We had the cheese cake and was given a birthday treat by the store. Overall a great experience
We love Yianni's, always a go to when we're not sure where to eat. Fav's are the vegetarian Moussaka, grilled lamb, and I love the laid back atmosphere, always enjoy going with friends, when we can, again. And it's not loud as a lot of places are loud they have good acoustics, relaxing, pleasant, good food and if you go before 6 it's 1/2 price .

Yiannis has been a Whyte Avenue main stay for quite along time already. The food is okay but I wouldn’t call it outstanding. I also find it to be overpriced when you are paying over 10 for a scoop of hummus and they only give you 2 small pitas then charge 4 for an additional 2 small pitas I think that is a bit much. 40 for lollipop lamb I think is also excessive for what you get with the dish (1 Potato Halved and seasonal vegetables) I could see this for a fine dining experience but I wouldn’t call this restaurant that. The menu I find is getting pretty tired, it needs to be revised with something new. The main menu items have been the same for years now. The service has always been good so no complaints there.
Our absolute favourite Greek restaurant in the city! The food is delicious and authentic and the service is fantastic. Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints!
We visited this restaurant several weeks ago, and our meal was fantastic. Last night we returned and our entire meal was just warm. Our orginal visit the starter pitas were nicely warmed, 2nd visit were cold. We had the chicken kebab and starter platter, and the tomatoes in the salad were not fresh, the tzatziki sauce had a different taste, and the entire meal was just warm. It was not made to the same standards as our first visit. The restaurant was not busy at our early dinner meal, and only a few tables had guests, so the kitchen should have been able to produce excellent food. Hopefully this was just an oversight, but it most definitely tarnished my view of the restaurant. Hopefully everyone else has a great meal, as I know they can produce an excellent product.
Very good food and excellent service. My only negative comment might be the music was not classic Greek music, but more of a dance mix. Better music would have made the experience that much better, but we sat near the open for and watched all the Wyte Avenue people walk by and had a great meal. Our server was extremely friendly and provided prompt, excellent service.
