I have been going to The Limelight with my friends now for many years. it is like a Cheers bar, from the famous sitcom, in that we always have had a good time, because we see other people we know there, that we did not expect to see. It is always good to see my friend, one of the bouncers, who I used to see doing security in the 1980s. I grew up in Fort Garry and we used to frequent The Norlander because they always had the best bands there. We always felt safe there and the security was very good. I find now that many of the bars in Winnipeg, seem to have a big drug problem with the younger crowd. I am from the older crowd and we don't seem to fit in with the patrons of most of these bars, nowadays. Perhaps, because the staff knows me here, they treat me better, but I can't believe how friendly the staff are, considering I am not a big drinker and maybe bad for business profits. At The Limelight, we always feel safe, the singers are great and the food is superb. Try their pizzas, you won't be disapointed.

Had a great time singing and the bartender with bangs was excellent and very attentive. I would definitely go back.
The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious!! I can't wait until they have there full menu again so I can try even more of their yummy food. It's a beautiful place
Well I don’t like the manager here. The man should really get a clue. Turn someone away that you know you could let in. You know you could. I will never be a customer here after this day again. Turn away someone who was looking forward to coming here. Your a joke.
