The staff at the front desk were apparently directed to be rigid and unreasonable during the covid-19 event this winter. Not only was I unable to book a room over a minor credit card issue, the credit card was still valid in my name, but after I successfully negotiated a reasonable solution with a staff member at the front desk, both myself and the staff member were rudely dismissed by someone who appeared to be more senior who was present. Although I understand the situation around this covid-19 event are different and have changed things, I think there was no pragmatic reason for myself and this other staff member to have been treated as rudely as we were. I think we must all remember to come together under difficult times, and making problems where there need not be any problems is the last thing we need right now.

Best place to stay compare to other hotels In the city. Very convenient location that is situated on one of the city’s landmark - The Forks, which offers a lot of restaurants and attractions around. Hotel’s interior is lovely, it is modern and contemporary. Staff were awesome and very helpful when it comes to our requests and questions. COVID protocols are put in place which gave us the peace of mind of safety knowing that everyone is helping each other on keeping all safe. Manager Amy T. went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and fantastic! The view of the room we had was facing the Human Rights Museum, an art installation and the famous Winnipeg signage which was majestic! This was the third time we stayed in this welcoming hotel and definitely not the last!
We decided to stay at Inn at the Forks because of the location, and not wanting to get up and drive to the forks each morning of our stay. We didn't know what we were in for at first, but they blew us away. Let's start from the very beginning. When we arrived, the front desk clerk provided all of the information that we thought that we could have needed, including informing us about parking before I had a chance to ask. The front area, the elevators, and the hallways were all immaculate. When we got to our room, we were stunned by our view, getting Johnston's Terminal, the Oodena, Saint Boniface Cathedral just to name a few things. This was one of the few times that I've actually seen a hotel's blackout curtains act as blackout curtains. Even better than the ones I use at home. The bed, I haven't slept that well in weeks. The location is superb. The Forks all around, Johnston Terminal and the Forks Market, the Canadian Museum of Human Rights right behind, the River walk and boat tours within a 2 minute walk. 10 minutes to get into St Boniface, about the same to get to the Exchange District. The last thing that I'd like to touch on is the price. I can honestly say that I've stayed in worse hotels for more money and have only stayed in a better hotel for less once, when I got a really amazing deal. The stay here is worth every penny, and a little bit more. I can say without a doubt, that when I have family or co-workers stay in Winnipeg, I would probably get them rooms here and would also encourage anyone else to stay here.
One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at, staff was amazing and went above expectations having a forgotten item. Staycation Manitoba must for 2021.
You definitely don't stay there because the rooms are top quality. For the price point I was expecting better which is perhaps my fault. Great location though.
We stayed at the Gold Suite and it was a very spacious room with an amazing view of Winnipeg out of the window! The pictures on the website make the room appear nicer online than in person, but the size of the room makes up for it. It was a nice location directly in the forks, and was a great way to have a staycation during the Covid. Staff were very accommodating as well, brought up cutlery for us only a minute or two after asking. Only one downside is that the hotel dosnt own the parking lots and all plug in options have been taken away. Can't really fault the hotel for that but made us nervous when staying there on a night where is was below -30C. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.
Nice room (king suite). Pull out sofa is quite comfortable. Fridge in room is nice.
Stayed here twice and will continue to if we return to the Peg. Best hotel location in Winnipeg! The hotel is located just steps from the Forks, which on your visit to Winnipeg (especially in the winter) you’ll be grateful for as it’s a great spot to pick up a bite to eat, coffee or beer as well as browse the shops. Also steps from various river-side paths, great for running. We considered staying elsewhere but were sold on the location. The lobby smells amazing, the rooms are clean, modern and so comfortable. The restaurant was closed both times we went which was disappointing, but we were able to have appies and drinks at the bar and the food was great.
