Cinematheque is such a unique spot. If you love moves in any capacity, catching one here should be at the top of your list. Comfortable seating and even a snack bar with a decent selection of treats and drinks. Go Cinematheque!!!

A gem I never knew this city had until now! Popcorn, drinks and candy are available for purchase at a reasonable price. A yearly regular membership costs only 25 and reduces regular admission from 10 to 6. The small theatre owned by The Winnipeg Film Group is devoted to screening the very best in Canadian and world cinema. More than just screening films, they also provide artist talks, panel discussions and special events to feed the minds of cinema fans.

It's not bad. The screen is small. But the seating and leg room are good.

This is a small intimate venue that shows unique and interesting films from around the world. It is an artist run centre, worthy of local patronage.

Great little gem of a theatre. 10 shows, get 10 shows for 60. Great variety of films. Cheap student night. Order tickets online and beat the (shared ticket/popcorn) lineup.

Excellent quality! Had the time of my life watching Godzilla vs Hedorah and my childhood favorite film Destroy All Monsters today!!!

Must have been an off night? There was a technical issue in the middle of the film that meant the projection skipped several crucial minutes. That was bad enough, but I couldn't believe that there was no effort to rewind the film or even address the issue at all. The credit card reader also wasn't working, so it was cash only. I'm still giving 3 stars because it's important that cities have independent theaters like this, and the theater itself is nice and they seem to play good movies - if the projector is working, that is.
