Great splashpad for kids (and adults), open visibility, mini skate park, benches and picnic tables for seating, park with play structures for kids who want to dry off, open field to play soccer, fly kites, etc. Ice cream and food available for purchase. Con: you have to cross the road to get to parking lot.

Great place for kids to play... 3/4 of the water stuff was working most of the time, and the last 1/4 wasn't fully working. But kids still had fun with the splash pad and playground equipment....
This is a great addition to Lasalle's Vollmer complex space. It's beside the skateboard area and has an outdoor playground right next to it too. The splash pad is timed so it isn't running all day. The giant bucket that fills up and pours out is fun for all (kids and parents watching). The hours are quite wide in the summer but I do wish it stayed open every day after the long weekend in May rather than closed again until June. There were some really hot days in May that we had to go to Mic Mac park since Vollmer splash pad was closed. Great to have the sun shades hung out over the picnic tables and to have a consession stand available for a snack. All around great experiences so far.
Mid day is a good time to go.
