I was very reluctant to go to HSBC based on all the bad reviews I read about them but after speaking to someone at the branch who seemed eager to prove the bad reviews were wrong I decided to give them a chance. Honestly turned out to be the worst experience in dealing with a bank i have ever had. I wasted 2 entire months sending them document after document after document and every document was never enough. They just kept asking for more documents. I gave them more documents then I have ever had to give any bank before only for them to say all the documents weren't enough. Almost all communication was done through email even though I would call to talk to them in person. It was a complete and utter waste of time and a total joke. After it was all said and done we went to 2 other banks who approved our application within DAYS who dealt with us one on one and who have already scheduled the appraisals!!!! And their rates were just as good as HSBC. Seriously this bank is a joke to deal with. I should have listened to the reviews from the beginning and not wasted 2 months of my time. In hindsight I am so glad we didn't get stuck with HSBC as our bank.

Good customer service. They helped me relatively fast. The tellers were nice and polite.
HSBC bank has the worst processes of helping customers. It feels like they do not try to help, they just there to repeat the same information over and over. I have being loyal customer for over 20 years and now i am trying ordering the checks. My nightmare took me through 6 people and more than 3.5 hours of talking to the wall ( customer service representatives) my problem still not resolved. You would think how hard to order the check book form the bank. IN POSSIBLE!!! It is very sad to see some simple thing could cost so much aggravation. There is no value in customer - bank loyal relationship.
Wonderful customer service, and coherently explain relevant information in regards to my needs.
Worst place to borrow money from. 66 a month comes out of my checking account, 56 goes to interest! Avoid this place. I'd give negative stars if I could.
