As a fellow catholic, I am not only aware of the hard times we face worldwide as a result of this global pandemic but also which problems we face amidst our own parishes/faith/church laws we need to uphold. It humbled me but also shocked me to see a video of the parish staff interacting with a gentleman who was asking about a pastoral staff member he was trying to find. A further video I viewed on an independent website showed this pastoral member in a very comprimising manner, demanding immediate action. Instead of being helped, the gentleman was rudely ushered out. I am angered that this matter was handled very poorly...I expect the church and a parish to deal with such things, promptly & professionally and not hush, hush & out you go, as in this instance! Simply not okay ladies & gentlemen!
This Roman Catholic church in the heart of beautiful South Windsor has been enlarged and fabulously renovated recently in the last few years. I've never in my life, seen such a large parking lot of any church anywhere. There is also an outdoor prayer garden on the south west side of the church with the statue of St.Gabriel. The statue of Christ The King is situated near the main entrance, preserved from the old Christ The King church.
I love this church. I am new to the parish and the parishioners are very kind and helpful. The mass is celebrated in a meaningful way and the priest gives very meaningful sermons.
