We were searching for a good shul where we can learn and grow in Torah and in Judaism and we found this gem. No talking during davening/Torah reading. singing is amazing. This is the shul for any Torah seeking Jew.
An amazing place with beautiful davening, thought-provoking classes for all ages, and inspiring Shabbat and holiday celebrations. Not to mention a warm and very inviting community!
Westmount Shul is the warmest and friendliest shul in the city. Rabbi Michalowicz is incredibly inspiring, and an unbelievable speaker and teacher. The Rebbitzen has boundless energy and is so warm and friendly.
Right place for a Jew to be.Rabbi Michalowicz & Rebbitzen are amazing teachers & a true guide for your soul.
Great shul to daven in. Lots of kavana, and no talking until after davening or Kiddush! Rabbi and Rebbetzin always looking to learn & grow with the community. Great, friendly atmosphere on Shabbat: 3 Different minyanin, lots of singing, very special Shalosh Seudos in the dark. 'No one left behind' attitude, classes range from beginners 'learn to read Hebrew' and hashkafa, to advanced Gemara and Rambam Mishnah Torah. Worth checking out.
Westmount Shul is warm and inviting. I have attended shul there and classes. I love how there are Jews from all walks of life - we all feel comfortable there. The community and especially the Rabbi and Rebbetzin are so friendly and Rebbetzin Gail Michalowicz is just so fantastic- her classes are inspiring, fun and will make a difference in your life. Try the challah bake club - it is awesome!
