Terrible experience, if I could leave zero stars, I would. Held up cargo and riffled through belongings due to items they deemed \dangerous\. Nowhere was this information posted, and this is was my second time shipping these items, first with no incident, and no this. Unclear communication, threatening to destroy my property. Beyond upset and frustrated. Garbage service. Do not ship with Westjet Cargo.
OMG!!!! What a nightmare shipping with Westjet Cargo!!! Make sure you know what a dangerous good it, like hand sanitizer or printer ink. Or a device that plugs in. They went through all my bins and took out what they deemed dangerous goods, after I had spoken with someone who signed off on it. Then after I had left the city I get a phone call to tell me that hadn't sent it. Told me they left messages which they didn't. Now they're telling me it will be days before they will release what they have taken from me. And I need those things to do my job!!!! I would have picked my bins up while I was in the same city if I knew there was a problem!!!!!!
After having attempted to fly my cat to another city for a week through Air Canada during a heat embargo. I was surprised to learn that contrary to Air Canada, WestJet does not have heat restrictions for domestic shipments of live animals. I called them and they quickly booked a flight for my pet the very same day. The staff at the cargo drop off was very courteous and polite. I received email notifications of my pet's flight departure and atribal. Iwill definitely take all of my future business there for my next live shipment needs.
Westjet Cargo, aka \Menzies Aviation\ offers slow cargo service, especially if the cargo are live animals. Cargo is cargo to these people. I was kept waiting at the airport well over the 1 hour turn around time for animal delivery because the night-shift crew only wanted to make ONE 5 minute trip to the terminal to service 3 flights an hour apart. The disinterested staff hired at night seem to be too busy with their social media then work.
