Great hike up Black Mountain through the Cypress BAC (Backcountry Access Corridor). Pick up your backcountry pass to explore Black Mountain, Yew Lake, Bowen Lookout and beyond. Black Mountain is a well marked 7k loop up around and back down.

Cabin Lake is such a pretty spot on the Eagle Bluff hike. I highly recommend taking the path to it after / on your way back from the lookout. Beautiful water and surroundings with lots of little spots around it that you can sit and have space. The lake water is pretty cold (though welcome on a hot day). Note that it is very deep and not for non swimmers.

Great hike! End of the May still tons of snow up there but the trail is easy to absolve. The view is breathtakingly beautiful. During sunny days the trail cloud be over crowded but still you can enjoy the silence of the nature.

A lovely hike but it's a scramble of a hike - loose rocks, mud, branches, roots - so you're gonna want hiking boots with ankle support. Trail is narrow in many parts - try to maintain physical distancing by moving off trail and waiting for others to pass. Bugs bugs bugs! Minimize your scented products, bring bug spray, and wear long pants and sleeves and you'll get bothered a LOT less. The lake is decently warm this week - it's still cold, but a swimmable cold. Also, the Yew Lake viewpoint (see the trail signpost) is about 5-10 minutes from here - worth the quick detour.
