My wife and I decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed. The place itself is quite lovely and the staff is very friendly. Although they were all very busy as it was packed, they did a great job. Will definitely go there again.

I was hesitant to eat here only because of the high prices. After studying the menu I decided on the Cercle de la Vie or Circle of Life option. It was 55 which is reasonable. It consisted of 4 courses. Drinks were extra of course. Well I wasn’t disappointed whatsoever! The food was fantastic! I really enjoyed the lobster tartar and my main dish which consisted of 3 jumbo shrimp. The service was perfect and our server was great! He was polite and greeted us in both English and French. In highly recommend La Traite. I will definitely be returning. ️

Beautiful setting with a nice contemporary-rustic dining room. Waiter and staff were very nice and welcoming, especially with the kids. Menu is unnecessarily complicated, with many choices of tasting menus, combos, à la carte items. Although they market their kitchen as gastronomy, flavours were dull and the native influence seems watered down. (There was some lichen in one of the plates, I guess that counts...) There is a kids menu, and kids eat for free with an accompanying adult, but the choices were strange, with an overly complex salad, a non-described soup, and a very very simple bolognese pasta. Do not be in a hurry, dishes come out of the kitchen Ever. So. Slowly. After about 10 years of operation, they have perhaps lost a distinguishing touch, promising exotic and unique foods, and serving generic food that could be found for cheaper without the trek it takes to get there.

Fine dining restaurant featuring aboriginal dishes. We went with the 55 3-course dinner menu so we can try more of the menu. My favourite (and this was echoed across the group) was the mushroom crostini appetizer. Just...mind-blowingly delicious. The portions are arguably tiny for the price but you're getting quality service and exceptional ingredients. You're not going to find venison and foie gras at your local drive-thrus.

A little corner of paradise that is worth the trip from the central area of the city. Really great food and a beautiful dining room. A really nice outdoor dining area where you can eat to river sounds .

Amazing restaurant! Their buffet offers a great variety of food, excellent quality food and all sorts of treats (even French decadent Maracons!) One of the best culinary experiences I ever had! The building itself is gorgeous with a fire place in the middle, with wolf skins and Native American art.

We ate here as part of a package with entry to the Museum and long house. We were a party of seven children and seven adults. When we arrived for the three course lunch at our reservation time they had thoughtfully set the children at one table and adults at another. The menu selections for regular and children's menus were interesting. They served the children first which we appreciated. The food was beautifully presented and expertly prepared.

Nice fine dinning with different flavours. Good friendly service. Really nice different decor. A way to experience something relax and if a different vibe. Real wood burning fireplace and smells... Overall wonderful.
