This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. All the items are different from the photos on the Internet. I didn't choose spicy. It turned out to be spicy. The eggs I ordered showed fresh fruit on the picture, but the real thing was different. In short, don't try the food of this family. You'll just be disappointed. PS:all the photo are from the app Hungry Panda. This is my Friend order.

The food is quite healthy and comes with a good variety of tasty ingredients, especially the noodle soups. Highly suggest the Ma La Tang combos. Great availability of desserts and snacks to match the decor, this would be a great date spot. The slight premium to the food doesn't bother me as much as their menus, which are confusing because their takeout menu doesn't match what's on the board, which doesn't match what's available on the ordering counter.

Late service. Had to wait over 15 minutes despite ordering online 50 minutes prior arrival. Food was good though

Love their noodles. It's cute that we can get discount if we win playing the rock paper scissors game. The place is also cute. Hope they can lower the price a bit. Good overall.

Price point is quite high considering the quality of the food, and food practices are questionable (saw meat defrosting on a table in the front with a bottle of cleaning spray right beside it)

First and last time ordering from this restaurant. The Ma La Tang was way over salted!!!

love love love love their ma la tang and noodle soups. been coming here for 3 years and a bit sad they stopped doing rock paper scissors for the discount but the food is so tasty and you actually get a good amount of veggies. fav place within the waterloo plaza vicinity. highly recommend the hot and sour noodle soup and tomato beef noodle soup. the ma la tang combos are also very good (come for the daily special!) only thing that kind of bothers me is having to pick out the sichuan pepper corns. wished they used a spice tea pack thing when they cook their soups so I don’t accidentally numb my mouth by biting into a peppercorn
