I've had issues with bed bugs for months and they have done a very poor job addressing it. Doing absolutely no follow up and not even treating the unit to it's entirety so the issue just keeps coming back. I haven't had a good nights sleep in months. there's also no intercom system in my building, and a there seems to only be a single washer and dryer for the entire building to use.

We have been living at 258B Sunview Street for more than 2 years. When it was managed by Accomod8U it was pretty decent - clean, security guards, and decent tenants. Since RentCorp took over we have street people using our stairwells as toilets, drug deals going on in the foyer, behind the building, IN the building day and night and this week our front door was smashed in with rocks by some of the unsavoury individuals attracted here because their drug dealers live here. If the management came here even ONCE in a while they would see what we see. If you want to pay 2000/month and 100/month for a parking space you can’t even get most days to live in ghetto- like surroundings, this is the place for you!!!
We rented a unit for our daughter as she was going to Waterloo University. Then the pandemic happened. Our daughter had even moved into the unit. Her classes went online. We spoke with management but they refused to cancel or even adjust the lease and continued to charge our daughter for the unit, even though she hadn’t even moved in. To make matters worse, they had recently contacted us saying that someone had broken the lockbox and removed the only key to the unit and demanded us to pay for the replacement key as well as replace the damaged lock box. Did I mention that my daughter hadn’t moved in yet? This is what you can expect from the management of this building, which has no security, no security cameras, and is old, decrepit, and not very well maintained. Management apparently has no problems trying to milk university students of all the money they can, even during a pandemic. Stay away from this building. There are several buildings to rent rooms from, that are managed better than this building. Management here is a perfect example of greed and unscrupulous behaviours that will make you not only regret your decision to leave your children here, but also steal their hard earned money. Renters beware.
I have been a tenant with Rent Corp for 4 years now. We have had multiple maintenance issues due to the building itself. Rent Corp has been responsive to every issue with good communication between tenant and landlord. Their maintenance emergency line has had a technician respon to our unit within 60 minutes. We have had to leave our unit due to no hot water or heat. Rent Corp was quick to house our family in a hotel same day, while the issues were being resolved during the winter months. Lucy from management has gone above and beyond to resolve any issues and always keeps us happy. She is accommodating to our needs and pleasant to talk too. Rent Corp keeps our family safe and warm!
It's been a pleasure to interact and cooperate with RentCorp Property Manangement. I have found the standard of quality property management services very high indeed in all terms ranging from the top level property maintenance to the transparent online communication with access to financials, maintenance, and monthly reports. I have found rent collection duly and timely managed. But most of all, I appreciate the attitude of the owners of the company to the business and to the customers which makes me feel safe. This is worth a lot because trust is the highest degree of motivation.
