Lots of hand sanitizer, very friendly and competent staff. Clean store. Selection of paints is low, but that's a supplier issue. They also have a bulletin board of drawing & painting classes, and other art-associated social and community events.

Helpful staff, but out of stock. The oil painting section is seriously depleted. They say more is on the way, but that is what they told me 6 months ago.

It's been awhile since I was there, but well worth the trip. For any artist out there it's like a candy store. Good to stock up on supplies. Staff is very friendly and helpful I highly recommend it

Had such an informative conversation with a staff member. I was feeling quite glum, and he had no idea how much better I felt after we spoke. Thank you for your kindness. We will always be back

I've ordered a lot online from Curry's Art Supply in the past and have always had great service. This was echoed in person during a recent visit to the Waterloo store. Staff were very helpful, and personally walked me to each item I asked about. They also suggested companion products, without it feeling like an upsell, but rather as artists swapping tips about their own favourite products. The store isn't fancy, but they had everything I needed. Prices were reasonable, and in some cases, much cheaper than the bigger art supply stores, or when I order products via Amazon. (Molotow Chrome refill was more than 10.00 cheaper!) My main goal for this trip was to stock up on Copic Alcohol Ink refills. The instore stock is not as varied as the online options, but they did have about 20-25 colours on hand. Again, the prices for these inks are cheaper than ordering online from other sources. I also found cradle boards and gessoed panels in sizes that are so hard to find elsewhere. They have a fantastic selection of those products. If they are now short of 5\X7\ cradle boards, you can blame me. I bought a ton of them. This is a great hub for news about local artists, showings, and events. There is a notice board with many postings and flyers about the KW art scene. My favourite part of the visit was seeing the staff's artwork posted behind the cash counter. That was a treat. They also encourage their customers to tag their own artwork with #currysartwaterloo, which is a nice way for locals to see each other's work. So far, the tag doesn't have a lot of posts, but I hope that changes. BUY LOCAL!!!
