Was there a few days ago with my hubby... Paul helped us pick out 4 amazing trees. He was fantastic with us, he spent the time to understand what we were looking for and what we already have in our yard. He was knowledgeable about every tree we spoke with him about. Five stars for selection, Five stars for Paul!! Thanks for directing us away from stuff that would have been destroyed by the black walnut in the yard and for showing us multiple options that met our vision / privacy needs for our yard. We will definitely be back!!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are many selection in the nurseries. The personnel also provided us professional advices on picking the annabelle hydrangea to grow in a shade front yard. Thank you.
It’s the end of January. Finding soil for houseplants is a losing proposition. It’s usually “this is what we have” or badly frozen. I called Connon on a whim from work mid-morning. The woman who answered was helpful, knew exactly what I was enquiring about, and I had it ordered for curbside pickup in a matter of minutes. She even went out of her way, unprompted, to reassure me that despite paying over the phone with my Credit Card, none of my information was recorded for later, the sale was processed immediately. I asked when their earliest pickup a lot would be, and she cheerfully replied “immediately!” We arranged pickup for about 45m out, and she gave me thorough and clear details surrounding pickup procedure. Having fought with big-box retailers, and other suppliers, when needing items in a hurry, I cannot begin to describe how refreshing the entire interaction was. The pickup went as smoothly as the ordering had, and the gentleman who delivered the order to my car was just as genuine and helpful. I don’t know who served me today, Connon, but they earned you a customer for life.
We visited a couple weekends ago and received the best customer service from Paul. The store was clear and provided us with many options. Paul was wonderful to work with! He approached in a pleasant manner and simply asked if we needed a hand. In fact, we did. He was knowledgeable and was able to provide us with tree options that suited our needs. This time at Connon, I felt welcomed and listened to. Whenever I do go back I will be asking specifically for Paul!
My wife is keen on rewilding our backyard in Guelph, and I am countering her green influence by mass planting of colourful Spring and early Summer flowering bulbs. Connon Nurseries in Waterdown has become our go-to place for trees, shrubs and bulbs. On our last outing we were assisted by Bella who generously devoted a considerable amount of her time to answering my wife’s questions. Her extensive knowledge and expertise led us to purchase a dwarf cultivar of my wife’s favourite tree - the eastern white pine. Given the size of the tree we chose to have it delivered and planted by Connon’s team, which guarantees the tree for three years.
