My family decided to take us out for a sleigh ride and we were disappointed. The staff was amazing, and friendly but for the price it was not worth it. We believed we were going to experience a guided tour but instead we went in circles in a field (picture for reference). Our guide got up and told us from the beginning that we’d have to keep our questions til the end due to plexiglass making it so he can’t hear us. We realized that the other sleigh the guide had a speaker and microphone so that the tour could continue. We felt as if we missed out. Other than that, the horses were adorable and loved their nose being scratched and there was lots of parking available.

Today, I spontaneously decided to escape to Banff from Calgary, with my 2 year old daughter. I am a single dad & I saw an advertisement for the Sleigh Ride. I inquired and they said it was 42 for adult, and free for children under 4. The brochure says that too. I was ready to pay and my daughter was super excited because her daddy kept telling her that we could see horses. We went to the physical office at Sundance Mall. Then they told me that it is not free for my daughter because it is only free when there are 2 adults paying. I was shocked... "WHAT?!" I remained calm and explained to them that none of their brochure/advertisement said that. Then they proceeded to tell me that they could make an EXCEPTION by charging my 2 year old, the 4 year old price of 33. That doesn't even make any sense! So I asked them, if the sleigh ride was running anyways because it's not like they are taking the entire sleigh out for me. They said these were the rules and they were already making an exception for me, like they were doing me a favour to charge me 33 for my 2 year old at the 4 year old price? I think this is so discriminatory to single parents, and that while it's "only" 33, get your verbiage correct. Super disappointed and I will find another place to take my daughter on a horse sleigh ride where they don't discriminate against single parents, or just pay to go on the gondola. Very disappointed, and I will definitely be sharing this to other forums & my network.
A ride to remember and cherish for!!! Booked online as they have limited slots. The horses were well trained. They give you thorough instruction, so if you are a first timer no need to worry! The lead and tail guides were great, pretty detailed tour, very informative & chatty, ty Caitlin. Would definitely recommend. Pity we couldn't see any bears though..
Had a very relaxing sleigh ride while taking in beautiful scenery. Warner stables has so much to offer check then out when in or going to Banff
Pleasant trip. Covid restrictions lessen experience a little but still enjoyable
It's a good one time experience. specially for the kids its fun. I would say they can improve on their hot chocolate.
Such a great experience with my family. It felt magical with the huge horses and being surrounded by mountains. The private family ride really was perfect, with smores, 2 blankets to take home and hot chocolate to enjoy by the fire after. This made for a very special family memory.
We booked with them this past weekend. After driving two hours to get there, we received a phone call upon arriving that our booking has been cancelled due to weather. They had all morning to cancel it, which would have saved us the drive in the afternoon, but they choose not to. We drove a total of 4hrs (round trip), paid to get into the park and left extremely disappointed. The worse part was that our kids were really looking forward to it. They admitted that they should have given more notice but refused to give any compensation, . I definitely would not recommend them or risk booking with them again.
