This was my favorite restaurant in Banff and Canmore. I felt like I was in Japan. Everything is very authentic. The tea was great. The obento box was very fresh and pretty. We got matcha soft serve with mochi bites and the waffle cone was the best waffle I've had. It was soft, crisp, and buttery at the same time. They have a very beautiful view of the mountains as well and it was really cute sitting in the garden center.

A little Japanese tea house on the outskirts of Canmore... Inside a garden centre is a must visit whether you are passing through or travel specially for the calm and peaceful energy. They carry an assortment of specialty Japanese teas including two different premium matcha from two regions of Japan. The wagashi menu varies daily but their nerikiri is to die for. The nerikiri is made with in-house hand made shiro-an and anko that's gently sweetened, striking a soft balance of flavour and sweetness in your mouth. It all but melts in your mouth and should be savoured slowly while sipping tea. I live in Calgary and make the hour and fifteen minute drive just to enjoy the entire experience from the time I enter to the time I reluctantly leave. It's definitely worth the drive.

Food are tasty and crafty. Ownership is friendly and customer service is top notch. Lots of sharing about the shop and things in general. A breathe of fresh air for a much deserved break for us. Find them, and support local businesses like this one.
