Ordered a death certificate April 22, 2020 I called a few times leaving voice-mails. None of my calls were returned. More than 6 months later they've now disconnected their phone number and I'm out 80 for an overpriced certificate I NEVER RECEIVED. Note: Visa will only refund you if the purchase is less than 120 days old. Get in touch with your credit card company ASAP!!
Reading the many complaints, it is clear this agency frequently misleads, and outright deceives, its customers. I am no longer interested in seeking a resolution with this company but instead wish to warn potential customers of the risks associated with doing business with this company. I gave them all the required information they asked for, content that it might take a bit longer than normal for the order to be completed. They asked for more information and indicated in an email "Your vital record request will be on hold until we hear from you". Then without any further notice my order was cancelled due to the time limit on their privacy policy. I understand why they can only keep information for a limited time, but telling me it was on hold indefinitely, and then their customer service representative refusing to acknowledge that, is misleading at best and fraudulent at worst.
Horrible and nightmare customer service. They do not answer calls nor do they return calls. Fees on website is misrepresentation to consumer. Very slow response. I received multiple email claiming they attempted to call me but they never did. I have compiled all documents to file and take them to small claim court for indemnity. I shall also report to consumer protection services in BC.
No one picks up the phone, on hold forever. Overpriced. Charges 3 times the fees the government. I suggest applying from Vital Statistics.
I ordered a birth certificate Feb 20, 2020, not realizing it was not a government site. I did not have the certificate by March 30, so cancelled and requested a refund. Not forthcoming. Sent cancellation and request for refund March 31, April 2, April 24. I also alerted Marketplace on CBC and on May 6, filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Do not deal with this “business”.
