Great store. The owner John is a fantastic guy. He is iconic, on radio and among locals. I support the store whenever I can. The movie selection is vast. John is fair with his pricing. I don't know how he competes with on-line movie theft and pirating? A wonderful guy to talk with. Extremely knowledgeable about film. If you love vintage movies this is a must visit place. Park on street or at parking lot nearby. Better still take the ttc.

I wish I could have watched the bulldozer at Bayview village just to see this place get destroyed. Absolutely absurdist pricing, miserable atmosphere and a delusional owner who watches you like a terrorist. How this ever sustained itself is beyond belief. It was like touching the toys of a ten year old brat who started crying. You can also visit this fine piece of work at the Ex every year where his passive aggressive signs are plastered all over his merchandise.

Absolutely terrible place - awful customer service with prices that are gauged beyond belief. I am all for free speech, but to display the Japanese "Rising Sun" flag ( the symbol of the violent and oppressive Japanese colonial rule over South Korea) in such a prominent position in the store is just blatant disrespect. I realize they have Nazi memorabilia as well, but to have a dedicated section in your store to a certain aspect of history is different than flying a flag above the cash register where people have no choice but to see it. You can tell the staff know exactly what the flag symbolizes and seem proud to have it displayed. It makes me happy to know that this place will out of business shortly!

Very helpful and informative, I got what I came for and would shop here again. The worst part of the whole experience was the 30 parking ticket found on the windshield for under 5 minutes of shopping time invested.

Asked if they had any seasons of Mad Men, the clerk said "we only carry vintage movies, and that's much too mainstream for us, only films made before the 1970s" but they were selling Ghostbusters on DVD for 35...remember that vintage indie art house film that nobody ever saw called Ghostbusters? It was made in 1984 and grossed 295 million dollars. it would've made twice as much if everyone had the balls to charge 35 for it. I hope the clerk/owner gets hit in the face with 35 mainstream Louisville Slugger baseball bat.

I love this place because I like arts paintings drawings sketching color design and lots of artwork. I do not talk to students about classic movies.
