The name Foreign Affair is a nod to the journey of our Founders Len and Marisa Crispino, While living as expats in Italy, they had an affair with an Italian temptress... wine that is. They returned home with a dream to innovate the old-world technique of winemaking 'Appassimento'​ whereby grapes are dried before being pressed, in the Niagara region. Today, The Foreign Affair Winery is recognized as a pioneer of this style in Canada, and offers a portfolio of award-winning bold red wines, and elegant white wines.

me and my husband's first time and we had a great experience. Meaghan was sweet and very informative. loved the decor in the tasting room. The seated wine tasting was a nice touch...didn't feel rushed. Excellent wine!!

My wife and I have been here many times in the past, but it was not until July (due to Covid) that we had to reserve and try their wines, the 25.00 price per person for 4 tastings is well worth it, especially when you are tasting their high end wines. We were so impressed that we have since been there 3 more times. Their 2012 Gran Q is probably one of the top 5 wines I have ever tasted, I have been to California, Tuscany and this wine rates right up there. Their 2016 Cab Franc is another gem, I opened it up a week ago with another couple we had over for dinner and it was a hit, so smooth and velvety that you do not even notice the 17% alcohol. Their wines are so good that I became a wine member.

Took my husband here on his birthday for a wine tasting. Mike was absolutely wonderful. Such a kind hearted and sincere person. We walked in for our reservation with pre-poured tasters that we chose prior to our visit. They also had a small birthday card waiting for my husband on the table which was a nice personal touch. They have such wonderful reds! We landed on the Apologetic Red as our favorite. We will visit again!

It was fantastic that we had a wine guide to walk us through the tasting process step by step. This was one of our first winery outings and you made it feel very special. Real glasses, personal attention, detailed explanations, covers for the glasses, I can't say enough good things. An absolutely fantastic seated tasting experience. Winery has done a great job ensuring public health protocols are followed and we felt very safe during our visit. Megan was an excellent host! Informative and passionate. Bought a few bottles and am already wanting more - probably time to join their wine club!

We had an amazing experience at our tasting. Susan was our lovely host and she was very knowledgeable. The wines were a very generous pour and delicious, also in beautiful glasses. The best tasting experience so far and we have been to many over the years. We bought 5 bottles and some of their wine glasses. Highly recommended.
