I recommend Victoria Camera Service. I have had numerous cameras and lenses repaired, cleaned and maintained by Victoria Camera Service over the past 15 years and I have always been happy with their service, workmanship and results.

I brought a second-hand Pentax camera in to see what was wrong with it...the service was fairly quick. It took them about a week and a half to call me back and tell me that it would cost more to fix it than it was worth. I only gave three stars because of the fact that they REQUIRE an UPFRONT FEE PRIOR to ANY DIAGNOSIS of the problems...which caught me completely off-guard. They DO apply the initial fee charged to any issues they find, so at least that's something!

Horrible and not friendly environment! I wouldn't recommend VCS for anyone. Tried few DIY at YouTube, bang! I fixed by myself.

I have dealt with Victoria Camera Service for years and happily use them for all my camera needs old and new. They are friendly, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I deeply appreciate their bricks-and-mortar presence because I do not want to mail my camera off to another town.

Was worried because of the mixed reviews but my particular experience was good! Had sticky buttons on my camera and took it in for diagnosis. I followed up 2 days later because of an upcoming trip and the camera was fixed/clean! Overall, I'd say take it here if you think its a fairly straightforward fix. If you're really concerned, might be best to send back to manufacturer?
